Published: 18. 10. 2026 - 12:00 Installed in 2004, the original Kampmann trench fan coils in TDC’s Bijenička showroom in Zagreb are still in operation. A recent service visit included thorough cleaning of the accessible internal components and inspection of the equipment.
Long service life needs regular care
Trench units operate close to the floor, where dust and particles can collect. Cleaning the trench, heat exchanger, grille and fans helps maintain free air movement and provides an opportunity to identify wear or other maintenance needs.
Maintain the whole unit
The maintenance procedure should follow the instructions for the exact model. Where filters are fitted, they also need inspection and replacement at suitable intervals. Access to valves, electrical components and condensate equipment must remain available.
An installation with a history
The Bijenička property was one of TDC’s first Kampmann demonstration projects. The equipment illustrates how regular maintenance and appropriate spare parts can support continued use over many years. Service needs depend on the model, operating conditions and installation.
